LAFC have signed of free agent Jailson. The 29-year-old Brazilian’s deal runs through the 2025 season with club options for 2026 and 2027, the team announced Tuesday.

Jailson arrives after a stint in Spain with LaLiga side Celta de Vigo, where he tallied one goal and one assist across 30 appearances in all competitions. Over the course of his career, he has featured for Chapecoense, Grêmio, and Palmeiras in Brazil. Across 259 career matches, he’s recorded nine goals and five assists.

His addition comes at a crucial time for LAFC, who recently lost fellow Brazilian midfielder Igor Jesus to a season-ending injury. Jailson joins a midfield group anchored by Mark Delgado and Timothy Tillman, alongside summer arrivals Mathieu Choinière and Andrew Moran.

With eight games left in the regular season, the Black & Gold are pushing for a top-four finish in the Western Conference for the fourth consecutive year.

Toronto FC and forward Ola Brynhildsen have mutually agreed to a loan termination, effective immediately, it was announced Tuesday.

The 26-year-old forward will now return to Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland.

“We want to thank Ola for his efforts during his time with us this season. Ola faced many challenges, on and off the pitch, throughout the season, but he always worked diligently to contribute to the group,” said general manager Jason Hernandez.

“At this time, we have mutually decided to part ways, with Ola being presented with an opportunity back in Europe, and our desire to prioritize other attacking personnel currently within the group for the remainder of the season. We wish Ola the best in his next chapter.”

Toronto FC signed the Norwegian international to a one-year loan with a purchase option from FC Midtjylland in February, a deal that utilized Targeted Allocation Money (TAM).

Inter Miami CF announced Tuesday they have loaned homegrown midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi to Italian Serie A club Parma Calcio 1913 through June 2026. The deal includes a purchase option.

The 20-year-old US international leaves Miami after logging 107 appearances across all competitions, recording eight goals and nine assists. He was a central figure in Miami’s rise to prominence, helping the club lift the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield.

Cremaschi, who signed with Miami ahead of the 2023 season after excelling in MLS NEXT Pro, also earned a contract extension late last year. On the international stage, he owns three caps for the USMNT and featured at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Widely regarded as Inter Miami’s top academy product, Cremaschi has been part of a promising crop that includes defenders Ian Fray and Noah Allen. Fellow midfielder Santiago Morales is emerging, while David Ruíz has battled injuries this season.

When Toronto FC  joined MLS in 2007, success was hard to come by. The club failed to make the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs in each of its first eight seasons. That all changed in 2015, when Sebastian Giovinco arrived from Juventus and transformed both the team and the city’s relationship with soccer.

The “Atomic Ant” shocked many by joining TFC not in the summer, as initially expected, but in time for the start of the 2015 campaign. He wanted to dive in right away, and his work ethic matched his intent. Teammates immediately noticed how much each loss affected him.

It took a few weeks for his brilliance to shine through. Giovinco didn’t score until his fourth match, and Toronto managed just three points from their opening five games. But then came a breakout performance against FC Dallas, and the floodgates opened.

LAFC midfielder Igor Jesus will miss the remainder of the 2025 MLS season after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee, the club announced Friday.

Last weekend, Igor Jesus got injured during the first half of LAFC’s 1-1 draw at FC Dallas.

The 22-year-old Brazilian joined the Black & Gold ahead of the 2025 campaign from Portuguese top-flight side Estrela Amadora. He signed a long-term U22 Initiative contract.

This year, Jesus tallied 1g/1a in 37 matches across all competitions. His goal came in the FIFA Club World Cup Play-In Match on May 31, heading home a late equalizer in the club’s eventual 2-1 victory over Club América.

Jesus is LAFC’s second player to suffer a season-ending injury in as many months. Center back Aaron Long recently suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon.

Without Jesus, LAFC’s midfield is led by Mark Delgado, Timothy Tillman and Mathieu Choinière. Earlier this summer, they acquired Andrew Moran on loan from English Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.
