Athletic Bilbao striker Raul Garcia thanked Atletico Madrid fans for their support before kickoff yesterday.

Garcia has played for both teams and will retire at the end of the season.

After Atletico’s victory, he said: “I don’t like being the centre of attention, but it has given me a lot of emotion. I feel lucky to receive that affection from the teams I have played for.
