Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders face off this Saturday. If Patrick Mahomes and his team win, they will seal the No.1 seed spot for the playoffs. This will make the Bills-Bengals academic. But, if the Chiefs lose, the Bills can still claim the top seed.

In his memo to team executives and coaches, Roger Goddell while giving an update on Hamlin’s condition on Tuesday, stated:

Given the recent developments, the NFL has been criticized for their reluctance and sluggishness in postponing the game Monday night. But, the league dispelled the reports that they were planning to resume the game.

Although, ESPN’s Joe Buck has fired back at the League’s denials.

Goodell’s memo informed the teams that the NFL will give constant updates on Hamlin’s condition when they can. He told them that mental health and support resources were available.

Hamlin’s family also released a statement earlier in the day, thanking the ‘dedicated first responders who resuscitated Bills Safety.

‘On behalf of our family, we want to express our sincere gratitude for the love and support shown to Damar during this challenging time,’ the statement read.
