Former Arsenal and Chelsea man, Willian, has terminated his contract at the Brazilian club Corinthians after Palmeiras knocked them out of the Copa Libertadores.
The much-travelled Brazilian had returned home to Corinthians after his contract at Arsenal was terminated by mutual consent.
He hoped to become relevant again and perhaps finish his career at his hometown club.
However, that has not happened, and Matchplug understands that he is now a free agent after his deal was terminated by mutual consent.
The attacker had a successful career in European football, and he might return to the continent.
However, at the moment, there are no clubs looking to add him to their squad, and he could be stuck in the Brazilian top flight.
It would be interesting to see what his next career move would be.
