Liverpool are set to finish this season inside the top four for the second consecutive time. This is going to be made possible by the contributions of star players like Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
They continued their impressive season with a 2-0 win over Southampton on Sunday and one the highlights of that game was Roberto Firmino’s performance.
The 26 years old Brazilian netted a goal and provide an assist in that match. Those were his 20th goal and 11th assists this season. He is on a hot streak of form at the moment and he is set to end this season as the most prolific of his career.
One person who is very impressed by Firmino’s performances is Thierry Henry. The former Arsenal star was speaking as a pundit in the Monday night show – Match of The Day and had only good things to say about Firmino.
When asked who his best performer was in Liverpool’s game against Southampton, the French man replied “Roberto Firmino, not for the first time”
“I would have liked to have played with this guy” he added.
Liverpool are back in action on Tuesday in the Champions League as they look to end this season with a trophy at least.
