Bayern Munich will travel to Paris this Tuesday to face struggling French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League round of 16.
PSG endured a difficult weekend in the French league as they were beaten 3-1 by Monaco. The loss was their fourth in 2023, mounting pressure on coach Christopher Galtier.
The coach, after the game, conceded that he is “worried” about this first leg against Bayern as injuries to the likes of Lionel Messi, Marco Verratti, and Kylian Mbappé have hit his squad.

However, Mbappe and Messi are expected to be fit enough to start this game, so we can expect some entertainment and goals as PSG are the only remaining side in the knockouts yet to keep a clean sheet, while they have scored in all but one of their last 32 UCL home games.
Bayern Munich will also come with an arsenal of goals and entertainment, with the Bavarians the only side that won all their group-stage games. They were also the top-scoring side in the group stage with 18 goals despite having Inter Milan and Barcelona in their group.
The last time Bayern won their first seven games of a UCL campaign was in 2019/20, and that season they lifted the trophy. So they will be hoping for a seventh win on the bounce in the UCL and a fourth consecutive win in all competitions, having beaten Bochum 3-0 at the weekend.
With both sides laden with attacking depth, we can expect a high-scoring affair with over 2.5 goals and both teams scoring.
