Manchester United legend Gary Neville has announced his pick for the greatest football player of all time.
The former coach, who spent 16 years of his career in England, gave his opinion on who he believes is the best player in football history.
In the Interview with Overlap US, as reported by Sportskeeda, Neville revealed that Christiano Ronaldo is his choice for the best football player ever.
He said, “I wasn’t friends with Cristiano when I played at the club. He was a great teammate, a special player”.
His choice came as a surprise to fans because he had earlier admitted that he never saw Cristiano Ronaldo as his friend.
When asked if Lionel Messi was the greatest player of all-time, the 46-year-old replied:
“No. I got Cristiano.”
