Dortmund’s Gittens Reveals Exit Plans

Jamie Gittens appears set to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, with Arsenal and Chelsea both showing strong interest in the talented winger.

According to Sky Sports, via Ruhr Nachrichten, the 20-year-old has “already announced” his departure to his teammates in the dressing room, fuelling speculation that a move to the Premier League is imminent.

Gittens has enjoyed his most productive season yet, scoring eight goals in 30 Bundesliga appearances and adding four more in the UEFA Champions League. His form has caught the attention of top English clubs, with Football.Londonreporting that Chelsea have opened talks.

Dortmund have reportedly set a price tag of around £43 million for the winger, who would likely compete with Gabriel Martinelli for a place on the left flank if he joins Arsenal.

Arteta’s side, poised for a third consecutive second-place finish in the Premier League, are also preparing for a Champions League clash with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain this week.

With top clubs circling, Gittens’ next move could be the most significant step in a career that’s rapidly on the rise.
