Manchester City and Liverpool will face each other weeks after their 2-2 draw at the Etihad and this time Liverpool will be keen to get the upperhand. The Reds are chasing an unprecedented quadruple and they can keep believing in it if they can reach the final of the FA Cup. They have won the League Cup, are one point behind City in the Premier League title race and are also in the semi-final of the FA Cup and the Champions League. Manchester City know they have to stop Liverpool from doing that and the Reds will feel unbeatable if they manage to beat them today. City’s chances of earning a win from this match has not been helped by the fact that they will be without Kyle Walker and Kevin de Brune who both got injured in their match against Atletico Madrid. Jurgen Klopp has all his Liverpool players fit and available in an important time in this season and he would feel confident in them winning this match for him. Both clubs have already met twice this season, with both games ending in 2-2 draws, which just shows the closeness in quality between both of them.

Liverpool will be eager to win the quadruple this season after they won the Carabao Cup at the weekend. The Reds will now target progress in the FA Cup when they host Norwich for this fixture and it promises to be an interesting clash. We expect Jurgen Klopp to ring the changes for this game and Adrian could be given a chance in goal, while the likes of Takumi Minamino could also play. Norwich is struggling to remain in the Premier League beyond this campaign and they might not put so much of an effort to win the FA Cup. That already gives Liverpool a very good advantage in the fixture and the Reds should take advantage of that. Jurgen Klopp’s men have probably forgotten how to lose matches as they head into this game on a 10 games winning run. Norwich, on the otherhand is struggling to win games and the Canaries have just a win in their last five matches. They have also lost all their last three games. Their record in games against Liverpool is also not something to look forward to as they have lost 9 and won none of their last 10 games against the Reds.

Brighton haven’t been impressive in the league this season, but they would welcome this cup game as they look to distract themselves from the lack of wins in their recent league matches. This competition has been strange this season in that most big teams have already been eliminated, Brighton would fancy their chances of reaching the final or even winning it without the possibility of taking on a big team who repeatedly been paired against each other. Derby County are not doing particularly badly under the management of Frank Lampard, but they come into this game outside the playoff places in the English Championship. Winning promotion remains Derby County’s priority, however, having won at Old Trafford and played Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, they would feel that they can eliminate Brighton in this game. The Seagulls needed a replay to eliminate West Brom in the last round and would want to avoid that here, so we expect both teams to field a strong side and come out with strong desire to win it all.
