Busquets declined Pep Guardiola’s transfer request to Manchester City

Pep Guardiola’s attempt to sign Sergio Busquets to Manchester City has been
unsuccessful.
The Citizens boss wanted Busquets to replace Rodri on a short-term loan while he recovers
from his ACL injury.
But the Veteran midfielder declined the offer after the phone call with Guardiola and chose to
prepare for his second season alongside Messi and his other teammates in Miami.
Guardiola confirmed: “No – because he is so happy in Miami. The weather there is so delightful!
I spoke to Sergio, not for that issue, but quite often. We have the same agent, so I’ve been in
touch for many years.”
