Burnley has maintained a clean sheet in 13 Championship games this season. However, their streak ended on Tuesday when they conceded a goal in a 2-1 victory over Cardiff. Despite this, goals from Josh Brownhill and Maxime Esteve helped them strengthen their promotion push.
Josh Brownhill and Maxime Esteve scored in the first half to give Burnley side control, but Cardiff’s Yousef Salech ended the clean-sheet streak with a header before the break.
Salech’s goal was the first Burnley had conceded in the league since December 21, and only their 10th in 35 games.
With these result, Burnley are now just two points behind second-placed Sheffield United in the race for automatic promotion.
