After an eventful 1-1 draw against Manchester City, Liverpool will pay £8.5m to Portugal side Benfica for their striker Darwin Nunez who just appeared in his 60th game for the club.
The Uruguayan native joined Klopp’s side for a transfer to the tune of £8.5m, of which £64m was fixed and £21m in add-ons, of which £8.5m had to paid when Nunez plays 60 matches for his new team.
The ex-Almeria striker has scored 22 goals and provided 10 assist in his 60 official appearances for The Reds, 36 of them starts.
Nunez who was previously with Benfica has had a strong start this season, registering 12 goals and seven assists in 16 starts for club and control so far.
