Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness is not impressed by the appointment of Vincent Kompany.
The Burnley manager will be named Bayern coach this week, although many members of the board had wanted Hansi Flick to return.
“There was – let’s say – discontent in the last few days. The top bosses, including Uli Hoeness, once again supported Hansi Flick,” reports Sky Deutschland’s Florian Plettenberg.
The former Bayern coach, who won the sextuple with the record champions, was close to signing a contract with FC Barcelona.
Sporting director Max Eberl stepped in at that point and pushed through for Kompany to be appointed. It is unclear if Hoeness was convinced with facts or just outvoted.
