Arsenal have reached an agreement to sign midfielder target Mikel Merino.
Merino will travel to England to join the list of major summer signings for the Gunners.
Manager Mikel Arteta had his eyes on Merino for a while, after signing Riccardo Calafiori.
According to Radio Marca Donostia, the Gunners will pay £29.8 million to sign the midfielder from Real Sociedad.
The deal is more than Arsenal’s preferred budget for a player who is on the last year of his contract.
But, Arteta believes that Merino is the key piece in balancing out his midfield options.
