Arsenal and Tottenham have been handed a major boost in their quest to sign Bourdeaux midfielder, Malcom.
The Premier League duo have been tracking the Brazilian since last summer and they were both keen on taking him to the Premier League last month.
However, facing a relegation scrap, the French side’s new manager Gus Poyet told them he would not take their offer if Malcom was sold in the last transfer window.
Malcom’s move was suspended, but the Brazilian was promised a summer move to his preferred team. He has promised to help them finish inside the top six this season despite the fact that they are struggling to remain in the French top flight.
Speaking to journalists this week, he confirmed that he and the club have an agreement for him to leave them after this season.He claims he would decide which team he wants to join and the French Ligue 1 side would negotiate the move.
Arsenal wanted Malcom to replace Alexis Sanchez when the Chilean moved to Manchester United last month, but they moved for Henrikh Mkhitaryan instead, however, they remain interested.
Spurs were also in the running for his signature, they reportedly even tabled an offer for him that was rejected. They have since signed Lucas Moura, but Mauricio Pochettino still wants to add more width to his squad.
