Brighton haven’t been impressive in the league this season, but they would welcome this cup game as they look to distract themselves from the lack of wins in their recent league matches.
This competition has been strange this season in that most big teams have already been eliminated, Brighton would fancy their chances of reaching the final or even winning it without the possibility of taking on a big team who repeatedly been paired against each other.

Winning promotion remains Derby County’s priority, however, having won at Old Trafford and played Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, they would feel that they can eliminate Brighton in this game.
