Wendell Carter Jr. wins NBA Cares Community Assist Award

The NBA has named Wendell Carter Jr. as the NBA Cares Bob Lanier Community Assist Award winner for January. He was honored for hosting a Flight 34 Aviation Event which introduced Orange County Public School students to aviation, and also for organizing his third annual basketball camp in his hometown of Atlanta.

He is famous for giving back to his community, he took part in holiday giveaways through his A Platform² Foundation.

As part of the award, Wendell Carter Jr will receive the David Robinson Trophy, and a $10,000 donation from the NBA to his foundation to supports youth and families with educational resources and programs.
