Real Madrid are set to make a move for Chelsea’s number one, Thibaut Courtois.
Los Merenges have been in the market for a new number one over the past two transfer windows, and their focus has always been on the Premier League duo of David de Gea and Thibaut Courtois.
However, they have found it extremely difficult to convince Chelsea and Manchester United to sell. But they are now prepared to get one of them at all cost.
Acccording to Talk Sport, they believe signing David de Gea would be too complicated for them so they have decided to get Courtois at all cost. The Belgian is also looking for a move to the Spanish capital after repeatedly admitting that he would love to play closer to his family who stay there.
He has refused to sign a new Chelsea deal so far, preferring to wait until the summer. However, most of the club’s fans believe it is a deliberate effort to allow Real Madrid make a move for him.
The Blues do not need to sell, but if he decides to force his move away from Stamford Bridge they would have no choice but to allow him leave.
