Chelsea has entered discussions with Palmeiras over a move for Estevao Willian after Paris Saint-Germain were priced out of a move.
The Blues are negotiating with Palmeira for Willan but his price is an issue. Estevao’s release clause is set at €45 million (£39m/$49m), but Chelsea would prefer to offer lower than that sum. They want to pay a fixed fee of €20 million (£17m/$21m) with another €20 million in variables.
Palmeiras is not willing to negotiate the price, with their strong interest in Willian, PSG has already lost interest in the young wonder.
Estevao Willian is the latest Brazilian player to gain attention from other top European clubs. He was exceptional at the recent Under-17 World Cup for Brazil and seemed to be in demand. While clubs are interested in signing him immediately, he cannot move until he turns 18 in 2025.
