Barcelona’s Marcos Alonso makes surgery decision

Barcelona defender Marcos Alonso will have surgery.

Barça announced that get his back operated on in the coming days.

Alonso has been absent for the whole month of December. His lower back problems have forced him to sit out six matches. 

The former Chelsea left-back was assessed over the Christmas holidays, with Barca’s medical services, and took the decision. 

While Barça has yet to give a time that Alonso will be out, it will take around six to eight weeks.
