Crystal Palace are eyeing a permanent deal for Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
The England youngster has been on-loan at Selhurst Park this season, and he has continued to impress.
He has been hailed as a better player that Tiemoue Bakayoko whom Chelsea signed from AS Monaco last summer, and many of the Blues’ fans expect him to return to Stamford Bridge and become a regular.
However, after the Blues completed the signing of Ross Barkley from Everton, it has become clearer that he has no future at the Bridge.
This situation has prompted Palace to consider a permanent deal for the midfielder.
Loftus-Cheek has played in 16 Premier League games for Palace this season, scoring once and assisting a further three.
When fielding questions on the on-loan midfield star, Roy Hodgson admitted that Loftus-Cheek was a player they would not mind keeping.
He admitted his surprise about Chelsea’s signing of Barkley and hopes the Blues would allow Loftus-Cheek make his move permanent.
Meanwhile, the Eagles would not be listening to offers for their star winger, Wilfried Zaha this month.
The Ivorian has been in fine form this season and has helped them get off the foot of the Premier League table.
Despite interest from Chelsea and Tottenham, he is set to stay until next summer at least.
