Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has urged his club’s bosses to open their checkbook and sign Danny Rose from Tottenham.
Rose has been a Mourinho target since he took over at Old Trafford and he could have signed the England left-back last summer.
But Rose was injured and was sidelined for nine month with a knee injury.
He is currently nursing another injury on the same knee, but Manchester United have been assured that it is not the same as the one he had before and he should be back to action in three weeks.
Mourinho considers the left back position his team’s problem spot as the players at his disposal who can play that wing have not impressed.
He has had to use Ashley Young in that position this season, and while the England man has done a good job, the Portuguese tactician wants a natural player to play there.
Tottenham are not interested in letting Rose leave half way through the season, but if Manchester bids around £50 Million and they are able to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham as his replacement, they would sell.
