Premier League giants set to battle for German youngsters

Manchester United and Arsenal are set for another off-field battle in the transfer market.

The Premier League duo have been credited with interests in Hoffenheim’s  Nadiem Amiri who has been in fine form this season.

Amiri, 21 has just two years left on his current deal with the German side and may be looking to play outside his home country.

He has scored 4 goals in 18 games this season, but his overall performance has been impressive and has helped the German side enter inside the top eight.

Amiri is reportedly worth £20 million, a fee that would not be too much for Premier League sides.

According to The Sun, Manchester United would be in the market for a new midfielder when the transfer window reopens in January as Jose Mourinho has given up on Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Arsenal are also set to lose the likes of Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez who have less than 7 months left on their current deals.

Jack Wilshere could also leave them next month, and Arsene Wenger sees Amiri as one of Europe’s up and coming midfielder that could fill the void left by these departures.
