Manchester City defender Manuel Akanji has backed Erling Haaland to score at least 50 Premier League goals this season.
The Norwegian has been in stunning form since he joined City in the last transfer window and his goals have helped them remain close to the top of the league table.
The striker is making a joke of Premier League defences and fans of other competitions are mocking what we previously thought was the strongest league in the world.
Haaland is still just 22 and he will score even more goals in the coming weeks, having already netted three PL hat-tricks.
Akanji believes only injuries will stop him from breaking the PL record of most strikes in a 38-game season.
‘If he stays healthy then I think there is nothing that can stop him, yeah,’ Akanji said when asked if it is possible for Haaland to score 50 league goals this term.’
