Philadelphia 76ers forward Paul George will miss out the next six weeks on the court after receiving treatment on his left adductor muscle and left knee. Following the 76ers timetable, he’ll be sidelined for the rest of the regular season.
The nine-time All-Star who joined the 76ers this offseason has struggled to find rhythm hroughout the season. He has accumulated an average of 16.2 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists over 41 games.
Stephen Curry could use some rest, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr is making it a priority to give his superstar a break.
Just two games after becoming the first player in NBA history to hit 4,000 3-pointer and only three days after his 37th birthday—Curry had a tough night shooting in the Warriors’ 114-105 loss to the short-handed Denver Nuggets on Monday.
“He’s tired. Steph’s been carrying us for a month, he’s been amazing,” Kerr said.
