Liverpool have been dealt a major blow in their bid to rebuild their squad with some quality additions next summer. After reaching the semifinal of this season’s Champions League, the Reds are expected to challenge for the Premier League title next season and Jurgen Klopp knows he needs world class players to achieve that feat.
One player who seemingly has remained on the radar of the German manager has been AS Roma’s Alisson Becker. The Brazilian number one has been in stunning form this season and he is set to go through the Champions League without conceding a goal at home.
His performances this season has attracted the interest of several top Europeans sides including Real Madrid and PSG, but Liverpool remains his major suitor despite the form of Loris Karius.
However, AS Roma president has ruled out the sale of the shot-stopper after this season. He claimed:
“We have no intention of selling him.
“I mean zero at all. I’m sure some people will probably come in with some bids, but I don’t have any interest in selling him, he’s a great goalkeeper.
“When we got him, I thought the same thing and as far as I’m concerned, I mean no.”, he added.
