He first joined Atletico from Real Sociedad in 2014, left for Barcelona in 2019, and returned two years later before making the move permanent. Orlando City owner Mark Wilf hailed the signing as a statement of the club’s ambitions, describing Griezmann as one of the most gifted and influential players of his generation.
