The 24-year-old hit .333 in Grapefruit League play with three home runs, seven RBIs and three stolen bases in 18 at-bats, and has been working on refining his swing by studying aspects of Shohei Ohtani’s approach. Despite the strong showing, manager Aaron Boone urged Jones to stay focused on what he can control.<\/p>\n
“The reality is, he’s coming off a really strong season,” Boone said. “You see the signs of him continuing to get better.”
