Two Portsmouth supporters, brothers Kane and Dale Green, have been banned from football matches for three years after pretending to be stewards to sneak into a sold-out derby against Southampton.<\/p>\n

The pair arrived at the Portsmouth St Mary\u2019s Stadium on September 14 without tickets but wore high-vis vests and carried radios to access a restricted area near the pitch.<\/p>\n

Their plan failed when security noticed they had no proper accreditation.<\/p>\n

They pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates’ Court to fraud and entering the playing area. Assistant Chief Constable Tony Rowlinson called it a \u201cridiculous plot\u201d and praised the club\u2019s security for spotting the deception quickly.<\/p>\n
