His death was confirmed on Wednesday.<br>\n<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Greenwood joined UCLA in 1975, just months after John Wooden\u2019s retirement. He averaged 14.8 points and 8.7 rebounds over four seasons, helping the Bruins to a 102-17 record, four <strong>league titles<\/strong>, and a 1976 Final Four appearance. He earned first-team All-America honors as a junior and senior and still ranks fourth in UCLA career rebounds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Selected No. 2 overall in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nba.com\/stats\/draft\/history?Season=1979\">1979 NBA Draft<\/a>, Greenwood was picked just behind Magic Johnson. He spent six seasons with the Chicago Bulls, then played for San Antonio, Denver, and <strong>Detroit<\/strong>. He won an NBA title with the Pistons in 1990.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Post-retirement, Greenwood coached at Verbum Dei. He led them to back-to-back state titles in 1998 and 1999.
