Former Liverpool<\/a> and Spain goalkeeper Pepe Reina has confirmed he will retire from football at the end of the season. The 42-year-old made the announcement on Monday night, bringing an end to a remarkable 25-year playing career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reina<\/a>, who came through Barcelona<\/a>‘s academy, rose to prominence at Liverpool, where he spent eight seasons and won both the FA Cup and League Cup. He also claimed the Premier League Golden Glove in each of his first three seasons at Anfield for keeping the most clean sheets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After leaving Liverpool, Reina enjoyed spells with Napoli, Bayern Munich<\/a>, and AC Milan, before signing for Comolast year, where he made 11 Serie A appearances this season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
