Chris Drury has signed a multiyear contract to remain the general manager of the New York Rangers. Drury, 48, has held the role of both president and GM since May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over four full seasons, Drury has led the Rangers to a 193-105-30 record in the regular season and three playoff appearances. “I am honored to sign this contract extension and continue in this position with the team I grew up supporting,” Drury said. “There isn\u2019t a more special organization in hockey and I look forward to continuing our work this offseason.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Rangers missed the playoffs this season despite winning the Presidents’ Trophy last year. They reached the Eastern Conference Final that season, but this year ended in disappointment. The team finished fifth in the Metropolitan Division for the final wild card spot.

Before becoming GM, Drury spent years in the Rangers front office. He started as director of player development in 2015, was promoted to assistant GM in 2016, and later associate GM in 2021.
