Manchester United announced on Thursday that their centre back , Lisandro Martinez suffered an injury which caused damage to his cruciate ligaments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 27 year old had to be lifted off the field with a stretcher after his left knee collapsed at Old Trafford. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Manchester United can confirm that Lisandro Martinez suffered an injury to his cruciate ligament in Sunday’s game against Crystal Palace,” the club said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Assessment of the injury is ongoing to determine the appropriate course of treatment and the timescale for his rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Everyone at Manchester United wishes Lisandro Martinez strength for a successful recovery and we will be supporting him every step of the way.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
