Lionel Messi has his eyes and mobile phone out for former Manchester United centre-back Marcos Rojo, as he tries to recruit players to join the Inter Miami <\/a>team. Rojo is a longtime colleague of Messi\u2019s with the Argentina national team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Hernan Castillo of Continental 590 radio in Argentina, both Messi and Inter Miami manager Tata Martino have contacted Rojo over the phone to try and get him to sign up with the MLS team.

Rojo is presently a player for the Argentine club Boca Juniors, but at 33, he might want to make one more big career move. According to Castillo, in addition to the MLS club, Brazilian Serie A side Palmeiras are interested in the player too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marcos played with Messi at two World Cups, including in 2014, when he appeared in the full 120 minutes of the World Cup Final loss to Germany.
