Four burglars attacked Paris Saint-Germain <\/a>goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier early Tuesday, threatening him and his wife, police and prosecutors announce.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They hit the wife of Letellier, who is a substitute goalkeeper at PSG in the face and demanded jewellery and money while threatening the couple with a knife, according to a police source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexandre\u2019s two young children were at home during the robbery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The alarm in Letellier\u2019s residence situated in Hardicourt, west of Paris, went off at 2:00 am (0100 GMT) and the couple tried contacting the police by telephone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe alarm worked perfectly well and police intervened quickly as did the club\u2019s security service,\u201d a source close to the case said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to prosecutors, three of the four burglars were arrested. Two of the members are minors. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Famous footballers have been robbed by burglars several times in recent years. In July, PSG goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered a slight injury during a burglary, with stolen goods estimated at 500,000 euros ($550,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnfortunately all big club are targets for this kind of attacks,\u201d said a source close to PSG who declined to be named, adding: \u201cEach and every criminal who ever attacked PSG players has been apprehended.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
