AC Milan<\/a>, has signed French striker, Olivier Giroud as one of the goalkeepers in the club after his remarkable save against Genoa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last Saturday night, Milan suddenly found themselves in a position where they needed to improvise after their first-team goalkeeper Mike Maignan was given a red card in the 98th minute after the club used all their substitutes.

Maignan got a red card after the VAR showed that he used his knee on Caleb Ekuban of Genoa. As such, an on-field player had to take over as a goalkeeper for the remainder of the match.

In an interesting turn of events, Olivier Giroud is renowned at Arsenal, Chelsea, and France national team as a top goalscorer was assigned the duty of a goalkeeper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the event, AC Milan already had a 1-0 lead at the Luigi Ferraris stadium, thanks to a goal from ex-Chelsea winger, Christian Pulisic in the 87th minute.

Hence, Milan pulled out all the stops to escape with a narrow 1-0 victory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
