He had a 2.19 ERA in four starts in the month of July, permitting only six runs in 24&nbsp; 2\/3&nbsp; innings with 15 strikeouts and only two walks. He has a 4.24 ERA this year, but as a starter, he is pitched to a 3.08 ERA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Royals signed Yarbrough to a one-year, $3 million deal this last offseason aftr he was non-tendered by the Rays, and he still has an extra year of arbitration eligibility before joining free agency. He has enough experience starting and relieving, plus pitching behind an opener.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ryan is a low-velocity, high-ground ball pitcher with his fastball averaging 87 mph and his curveball clocking in at 71 mph. But he has managed to get outs with both, including his cutter.
