Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Ange Postecoglou as their new manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The North London club have been on the hunt for a new boss ever since Antonio Conte left the club in March. Conte’s assistant, Cristian Stellini and club coach Ryan Mason, had managed the club till the end of the season in the absence of a permanent manager.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tottenham considered several managerial options, including the likes of former Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann, former Barcelona and Spain manager Luis Enrique and Feyenoord’s Arne Slot, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But they have now finally settled on Celtic boss Postecoglou, who has signed a four-year deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Australian enjoyed two impressive years at the helm of Celtic, with whom he won the treble last season after securing Premiership and League Cup glory in his first year in charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Ange brings a positive mentality and a fast, attacking style of play,” said chairman Daniel Levy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“He has a strong track record of developing players and an understanding of the importance of the link from the academy – everything that is important to our Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are excited to have Ange join us as we prepare for the season ahead.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Postecoglou becomes the first Australian to manage in the Premier League. The 57-year-old has also spent time in Japan with Yokohama F. Marinos.
