Arsenal have moved ahead of rivals Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Bayer Leverkusen star, Leon Bailey.
The Jamaican winger has made a flying start to the season, as he has already netted 8 goals.
Chelsea were leading the race to sign Bailey as at last week, but The Sun is reporting that they have been leapfrogged by the Gunners.
Bailey came off the bench to score twice as Bayer came from behind to draw 4-4 at Hannover last week, he also scored the winner in 2-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the German cup.
The Gunners are believed to have sent scouts to watch him in both games.
Arsene Wenger is still looking for a replacement for Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain who left the club for Liverpool last summer.
Arsenal also faces the prospect of losing Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil next month, while the future of Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud remain in doubt.
Bailey may not be sold next month as the German looks to push for a top four finish.
He also just signed a new five years deal recently.
